So next we all agreed that the customer service was perfect, the waitress and all staff were friendly and engaging without being intrusive. Considering this restaurant is under new management, what a way to set a standard.
Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant for all the right reasons, cost, customer service, environment and quality of food.
Best meal of the week
Best meal of the week for us. Here for a four night stay to do some walking on the South West Coast Path. We ate at a number of restaurants but this one exceeded our expectations.
We had pre-ordered and they got it all right, spot on. Each dish was a triumph and ample sized. Best seabass I have ever eaten, beautifully seasoned, crispy skin, just delicious. Desserts also fab! Service second to none.
Amazing food & fantastic service
What an amazing meal we had whilst visiting the Bush Pepper. We’ve been coming to Newquay for many years and always walked past the Bush Pepper making a passing comment saying ‘we need to try there’ - we finally have and what a lovely experience it was.
We had a 3 course meal and it was the best meal we have had in a long time. The food, staff and atmosphere were amazing and we could not fault it. We will definitely recommend and be back! Thank you so much for the lovely experience.

A memorable little restaurant
A lovely restaurant. Definitely one to book in advance as it is only small but that (I think) adds to the experience.
Excellent and friendly service, great food and nice surroundings. Prices are not outrageous. Definitely a memorable little restaurant and one that my wife and I will certainly visit again.
Extremely Impressed
Delicious, fresh and flavourful. Thoroughly enjoyed dinner here. Was extremely impressed when the server brought extra sauce as she felt that there was not enough on one of our plates- attention to detail! The fish was cooked to perfection and fresh. Will be back!
